The new 90mm F2.8 MACRO from TAMRON for mirrorless fullframe cameras impresses with its high resolution and beautiful bokeh. It offers unrivalled sharpness from the centre to the edge and a velvety bokeh effect. The lens has 15 elements in 12 groups, including four LD lens elements that correct spherical and chromatic aberrations. The BBAR-G2 coating minimises ghost images and stray light and ensures clear details even in backlighting. In addition, thanks to its exceptional flat-field correction, the lens is ideal for flat subjects such as documents and offers sharpness from edge to edge as well as minimal distortion. This lens shows its strengths in macro, landscape and portrait photography and enables unique photographic expression in all genres.

Breathtaking bokeh
The 90mm macro lens is the first TAMRON lens to have 12 aperture blades, which create a perfect circular bokeh with minimal vignetting, especially in the macro range. A further highlight for dramatic images are aperture stars with 12 rays, which are achieved by stopping down for point light sources.

Lightweight and compact
It is a compact macro lens in the medium telephoto range with a maximum aperture of F2.8 and a length of 126.5 mm. With a maximum diameter of 79.2 mm, the lens sits comfortably in the hand. At 630g, it is also very light, making it comfortable to carry for long periods of time.

Newly designed lens hood
This lens has a new lens hood with a sliding window that makes it easier to use filters without having to remove the lens hood. This ensures precise control and smooth operation with a consistent shooting rhythm.

Compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility™
The 90mm F2.8 MACRO is compatible with the special TAMRON Lens Utility™ software. It allows users to change lens settings, assign camera functions and update the firmware if required. In addition, the mobile version is particularly useful for macro photography, where a tripod is often used. The user can customize the functions for different photography and videography styles, allowing for an even more personalized and fulfilling shooting experience.

• Broad Band Anti-Reflection G2
  The BBAR multi-coating ensures brilliant images with natural colours. It reduces the reflection of light rays hitting the lens surface. The more advanced BBAR G2 coating has been used since 2019.
• Moisture Resistant Construction
  The lens is splash-resistant. All critical areas have special seals. Lenses with this feature are ideal for outdoor use in bad weather.
• LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements
  Low Dispersion elements have particularly low colour dispersion index. They reduce chromatic aberrations that appear as colour fringes on the contrast edges and reduce image sharpness.
• Fluorine Coating
  Fluorine Coating protects the front lens from contamination. It prevents oil and water droplets from sticking to the surface. Fingerprints and dirt are easier to remove.
• TAMRON Lens Utility
  The new TAMRON Lens Utility software was developed by Tamron to configure their own lenses. After installing the program on a computer, compatible lenses can be connected to the computer via a connecting cable to customize various lens functions or to update the lens firmware.
• VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive)
  The VXD autofocus guarantees fast and precise focusing on both near and far objects. The quiet focus motor responds at lightning speed and is particularly suitable for images of moving objects.
