The ground-breaking 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD (model A069) telephoto zoom lens was developed in response to user feedback that “the angle of view of the initial focal length is not optimal” when using a 70-300-mm zoom. The new model therefore now offers a standard focal length of 50mm, providing much more flexibility in photography. This 6x zoom lens is extremely compact with a length of only 150mm and with a weight of only 665g one of the lightest in its class. In addition, the precise arrangement of special lens elements (including two XLD and two LD lens elements) ensures effective aberration reduction and high image quality throughout the zoom range. This ultra-multi-focal zoom lens brings the joy of photography to every photographer in a compact package and expands the potential for creative expression.

High-speed AF with high precision and VC mechanism for stability.
The autofocus is equipped with TAMRON’s VXD linear motor. Thanks to this fast and high-precision autofocus system, the user can precisely adjust the focus from the closest focusing distance to infinity. In addition, the focus tracking is extremely precise. The 50-300mm is equipped with TAMRON’s VC mechanism, which effectively reduces camera shake. That can appear when shooting at the telephoto range, when focusing at close range or in low light conditions.

Half-macro photography at 50mm.
Outstanding performance at close range with a close MOD of 22cm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2 on the 50mm wide-angle lens. Get exceptionally close to your subject and create fascinating semi-macro shots. At 300 mm, the MOD distance is only 90cm and offers a magnification factor of 1:3.1. Compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility™ software.
The 50-300mm is compatible with the TAMRON Lens Utility software developed by TAMRON. It allows users to change lens settings, assign functions from the camera and update the firmware if required. In addition, the functions in the mobile version can also be operated via a smartphone app (Android OS) without touching the lens. Users can customise the functions for different photo and video shooting styles, providing a more personalised and fulfilling shooting experience.

• Moisture Resistant Construction
  The lens is splash-resistant. All critical areas have special seals. Lenses with this feature are ideal for outdoor use in bad weather.
• Fluorine Coating
  Fluorine Coating protects the front lens from contamination. It prevents oil and water droplets from sticking to the surface. Fingerprints and dirt are easier to remove.
• Zoom Lock (ZL) Mechanism
  The ZL mechanism prevents unwanted extension of the tube during transport. The lock, which is activated by a switch, protects the lens from damage and at the same time guarantees that it is quickly ready for use.
• TAMRON Lens Utility
  The new TAMRON Lens Utility software was developed by us to configure our own TAMRON lenses. After installing the program on a computer, compatible lenses can be connected to the computer via a connecting cable to customize various lens functions or to update the lens firmware.
• Broad Band Anti-Reflection G2
  The BBAR multi-coating ensures brilliant images with natural colours. It reduces the reflection of light rays hitting the lens surface. The more advanced BBAR G2 coating has been used since 2019.
• Vibration Compensation
  Tamron-developed image stabilisation that compensates for unwanted camera movement for sharper images. Shutter speeds of up to 5 EV stops slower are possible with the VC image stabiliser.
