TAMRON, the pioneer of all-in-one zoom lenses, is developing a new high performance and portable zoom lens that covers the wide focal length range from 28mm to 300mm – the TAMRON 28-300mm F4-7.1 Di III VC VXD (model A074). The compact lens has a filter size of 67mm, a length of only 126mm and a low weight of 610g. This lens is suitable for a variety of shooting situations such as landscapes, snapshots, portraits, sports and travelling. Thanks to this versatility, you can respond to any photo opportunity that presents itself – without changing the lens or changing the distance to the subject.

Outstanding performance over the entire zoom range.
The 28-300mm F4-7.1 VC has an optical construction with 20 elements in 13 groups, including one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion), one LD (Low Dispersion) and three GM (Glass-Moulded Aspherical), which effectively suppresses chromatic aberrations and other aberrations. As an all-in-one zoom lens for mirrorless full-frame cameras, this lens is characterised by first-class image quality. And in the end, it is the image quality that counts.

Fast and smooth shooting with high-speed AF and TAMRON’s proprietary VC.
The 28-300mm F4-7.1 VC is equipped with TAMRON’s VXD linear motor focussing mechanism, which enables smooth and fast autofocussing over the entire 10.7x zoom range, while the VC mechanism suppresses camera shake for steady shots. This versatile lens equips you for a wide range of shooting situations.

Compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility™ software
The 28-300mm F4-7.1 VC is compatible with the TAMRON Lens Utility software developed by TAMRON. It allows users to change lens settings, assign functions from the camera and update the firmware if required. In addition, the functions in the mobile version can also be operated via a smartphone app (Android OS) without touching the lens. Users can customise the functions for different photo and video shooting styles, providing a more personalised and impressive shooting experience.

• Broad Band Anti-Reflection G2
  The BBAR multi-coating ensures brilliant images with natural colours. It reduces the reflection of light rays hitting the lens surface. The more advanced BBAR G2 coating has been used since 2019.
• Circular Aperture
  A several-blade diaphragm is configured to retain a smooth, circular-shaped aperture opening even when stopped down by two stops from the wide-open aperture.
• Moisture Resistant Construction
  The lens is splash-resistant. All critical areas have special seals. Lenses with this feature are ideal for outdoor use in bad weather.
• Zoom Lock (ZL) Mechanism
  The ZL mechanism prevents unwanted extension of the tube during transport. The lock, which is activated by a switch, protects the lens from damage and at the same time guarantees that it is quickly ready for use.

  GM lens elements have a significant impact on minimizing distortion and enhancing the sharpness of the image at its periphery.

  XLD lens elements made from specialized ultra-high-grade glass allow much greater control over chromatic aberration and magnification aberrations.
• LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements
  The characteristic of less of a tendency to separate a ray of light into a rainbow of colours effectively compensates for chromatic and lateral chromatic aberration.
• Fluorine Coating
  Fluorine Coating protects the front lens from contamination. It prevents oil and water droplets from sticking to the surface. Fingerprints and dirt are easier to remove.
• Vibration Compensation
  Tamron-developed image stabilisation that compensates for unwanted camera movement for sharper images. Shutter speeds of up to 5 EV stops slower are possible with the VC image stabiliser.
• TAMRON Lens Utility
  The new TAMRON Lens Utility software was developed by us to configure our own TAMRON lenses. After installing the program on a computer, compatible lenses can be connected to the computer via a connecting cable to customize various lens functions or to update the lens firmware.
• VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive)
  A linear motor focus mechanism for the highest levels of autofocus speed and precision.
